What Is the Difference Between RSS and Concentrated Latex?

Updated: 2026-10-08 · RIOMI Editorial · Products & Grades
Quick AnswerRSS is sheet dry rubber, whereas concentrated latex is a liquid latex commodity; packaging, quality specifications, storage and transportation, and application systems all differ.

Ribbed Smoked Sheets (RSS)

Ribbed Smoked Sheets are formed through coagulation, sheeting, and drying. Grade discussions involve appearance and quality. When quoting, specify the RSS grade rather than simply writing 'natural rubber'.

Concentrated Latex

Concentrated latex is managed by Dry Rubber Content (DRC) and other specifications, and is used in manufacturing processes distinct from those for dry rubber. '60% DRC' must be confirmed against the specific supplier's TDS and contract; actual batch values cannot be inferred from the product name alone.
